Aplikasi Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Document Control Management System (DCMS) Studi Kasus : PT Castlab Indonesia

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in the digitalization era requires companies to manage data efficiently and securely. PT CASTLAB Indonesia, an independent inspection and quality assurance company in Batam, still uses manual processes in handling Request for Inspection (RFI) and fabrication drawings, which often lead to data loss and inefficiency. This research aims to design and develop a Document Control Management System (DCMS) based on a web application using the Laravel framework. The system provides three main modules: RFI management (create, edit, delete, export Excel), Drawing management (upload, update, delete, download PDF), and User control management with role-based access (NDT Inspector, QC, Document Control NDT as super admin). The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, while data were gathered through observations, interviews, and document reviews. The implementation of the DCMS demonstrated improvements in data security, simplified inspection reporting processes, and contributed to the digital transformation of document management at PT CASTLAB Indonesia.
