Abstract
AI-based video can help standardize corporate training and deliver information in a consistent audiovisual format. This study evaluates the perceived effectiveness of an AI-based 5S training video in a semiconductor company in Batam using the EPIC Model, which comprises empathy, persuasion, impact, and communication. A quantitative descriptive design was used, while the video was developed through the ADDIE model. Data were collected from all 62 new-hire operators and technicians who attended the training and completed a ten-item questionnaire on a five-point Likert scale. Nine items were mapped to the EPIC dimensions, while one item was used as supporting needs-analysis data. Pearson item-total correlations ranged from 0.340 to 0.712 and exceeded the critical value of 0.250; Cronbach's alpha was 0.727. Empathy reached 3.73, persuasion 3.62, impact 3.94, and communication 3.94. The EPIC Rate was 3.81, placing the video in the
effective category as a training communication medium. Impact and communication were the strongest dimensions, whereas persuasion received the lowest score. The findings reflect user perceptions and do not demonstrate objective improvement in knowledge or workplace 5S behavior because no pretest, posttest, control group, or behavioral observation was used.
