Abstract

This study focuses on the motion graphic animation video as an educational medium for the Point of Sale (POS) system targeted at Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Despite government initiatives to encourage digital adoption, many MSMEs in Indonesia still rely on manual transaction recording, which often leads to inefficiency and errors. To address this issue, a 1 minute 19 second motion graphic video was designed to introduce POS as a digital solution that simplifies business operations. The research employed the Villamil-Molina multimedia development method, consisting of five stages: development, pre-production, production, postproduction, and delivery. The effectiveness of the motion graphic was evaluated using the EPIC model (Empathy, Persuasion, Impact, and Communication) through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 31 MSME actors. The evaluation results showed that the motion graphic obtained an overall EPIC Rate of 4.64, indicating that it is a highly effective digital educational medium. However, it should be noted that this score primarily represents the perceptual response and awareness of the MSME actors towards the system, rather than immediate operational readiness.
