Abstract

Attendance processes at SMP Negeri 2 Moro, which are still conducted manually, possess various weaknesses, such as vulnerability to data manipulation and slow recapitulation processes. Furthermore, limited electricity infrastructure during the day makes the use of static fingerprint machines impossible. This research aims to design a web-based attendance information system with a Geolocation validation feature to ensure location accuracy. The development method used is Waterfall. The system was validated using Black-box Testing for functionality and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure usability from the user's perspective. Functional testing results using Black-box Testing indicate that all features, including geolocation validation within a 30-meter radius, operate successfully according to requirements. Moreover, the usability evaluation yielded an average SUS score of 77.4, placing the system in the "Acceptable" category with a "Good" adjective rating and "Grade B". These results confirm that the system provides an accountable and efficient administrative solution for school management
