Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between logistics performance and Indonesia’s export-import activities in the manufacturing, food, and aggregate sectors during the 2007–2023 period. Logistics performance variables were measured using the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) and its six indicators, namely customs, infrastructure, international shipments, logistics services, tracking and tracing, and timeliness. This study employed secondary data obtained from the World Bank. The analysis method used is correlation analysis with the Pearson approach according to the data normality test which shows normal data distribution. The results of the study indicate that the strongest relationship between total logistics performance is the relationship between logistics performance and food imports with a correlation coefficient of 0.42 in the medium strength category. The relationship between infrastructure indicators has a correlation value of 0.49, and customs indicators 0.46 which is included in the medium category of relationship with food imports. In addition, a moderate relationship was also found in the relationship between customs performance (0.41) and infrastructure (0.44) with manufacturing exports, as well as timeliness with manufacturing imports (0.41). There is a negative relationship between tracking indicators and all import-export sectors. However, all correlation values are declared insignificant. Future research is expected to increase the duration of the study to provide more robust relationship results in terms of data scope and research methods.
