Abstract

PT. Octagon Precision Indonesia relied primarily on conventional business relationships and had not optimally utilized digital media to support its branding activities. Findings from observations and interviews indicated that the company did not have a standardized visual identity system to guide the consistent application of its corporate identity across promotional media. This study aimed to design a brand identity that strengthened the company's visual consistency and supported its branding and promotional activities. The research employed a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, documentation, SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis, and a client brief to identify the company's needs and formulate the brand strategy. The design process followed Alina Wheeler's Designing Brand Identity method, which consisted of conducting research, clarifying strategy, designing identity, creating touchpoints, and managing assets. The study produced a brand identity system consisting of logo usage standards, color palette, typography, tagline, graphic elements, and applications across various corporate media, which were compiled into a brand guideline. The proposed design was subsequently evaluated through expert judgment by a Creative Director and user judgment involving the company's internal stakeholders. The expert evaluation achieved a score of 90.63%, while the internal user evaluation achieved 92.5%, both indicating that the proposed brand identity was highly feasible for implementation. Therefore, the resulting brand guideline could serve as a reference for maintaining visual consistency and supporting the company's branding and promotional activities across both digital and printed media.
