Abstract

Trans Batam is a bus service network that operates in Batam City. This public transportation system officially began operating on July 18, 2005 and on June 30, 2016, the Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, officially released 15 Trans Batam buses. Batam City is the largest city in the Riau Islands province. According to the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Office, by the end of 2023 the population of Batam City will reach 1,260,785 people. The city, which is part of the Riau Islands Province, has a land area of 715 km2, while the total area reaches 1,575 km2. Batam city bus stops are spread throughout Batam city, namely: Sekupang - Batam center 56 bus stops with 6 operational buses running, Tanjung Uncang - Batam center 78 bus stops with 6 operational buses running, Sekupang - Jodoh 65 bus stops with 8 operational buses running, Sagulung - Sekupang 69 bus stops with 5 operational buses running, Jodoh - Batam center 41 bus stops with 2 operational buses running, Tanjung Piayu - Batam center 58 bus stops with 5 operational buses running, Nongsa - Batam center 76 bus stops with 4 operational buses running, Punggur - Jodoh 78 bus stops with 3 operational buses running, Punggur - Nongsa 54 bus stops with 2 operational buses running.
