Abstract

The development of the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) performance industry in the digital era has shifted audiences' experiences from purely auditory to immersive audiovisual experiences. Disc jockeys (DJs), whose performances are generally static, rely heavily on-stage visuals as a representation of their identity and a key element of branding. However, the use of generic visual assets often fails to highlight the musician's unique persona. This study aims to design non-narrative 3D motion graphic assets with a futuristic theme by combining 3D logo transformation, glossy metallic materials, and bloom lighting effects to enhance DJ brand awareness. The study employs the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method based on the Luther-Sutopo model, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. Technical testing using the Resolume Arena media server demonstrated that the VJ Loop video ran stably at 30 frames per second (fps) with smooth, seamless transitions. Furthermore, an aesthetic feasibility evaluation involving 30 respondents produced a percentage index of 86.40%, categorized as Highly Feasible. Therefore, the customized 3D visual assets proved to be an immersive and highly effective stage branding medium for electronic music performers
