Abstract
Airbus A320 aircraft have a parking brake system that is crucial for keeping the aircraft stationary and
safe on the ground, especially during boarding, refueling and maintenance. Malfunctions in this system
can cause operational disruptions and jeopardize flight safety. This study aims to identify, analyze and
rectify the problem in parking brake malfunction on Airbus A320 PK-GQR aircraft. The research
methodology involved applying the Troubleshooting Manual (TSM) after receiving a report from the pilot
post-landing. The troubleshooting process was conducted as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM)
for identification and repair of the problematic component. The results showed that the cause of the
malfunction was due to damage to the circuit breaker and the action taken was to reset the Brake Steering
Control Unit (BSCU) circuit breaker in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) 32-46-00-
740-00, so that the parking brake system returned to normal function.
