Abstract

Surface coating technology or what we commonly know as coating is one of the important technologies that contributes greatly to the quality and quantity of products. PT. ABC is a manufacturing company that produces various products for local and global markets using the dip coating method. This study focuses on the analysis of dip coating process parameters on A9V24 material such as pulling speed, increasing immersion length and immersion depth. Based on PT. ABC production data from March 2025 to April 2025 after optimizing the parameters, there was a significant decrease in rejects by 1.35%. So it can increase the efficiency of the machine by 10.8%. This study aims to optimize parameters such as pulling speed, increasing immersion length and immersion depth with the right values and improve the quality and efficiency of the machine, reduce the number of defects in the coating process, and be able to minimize the repetition process. This study focuses on the manufacturing industry and only discusses the dip coating method. The results of the analysis can be concluded that the optimization of programs and parameters on industrial machines in the dip coating process has a significant effect on increasing machine efficiency.
