Item ANALISIS WASTE PADA PENANGANAN PIPA DENGAN METODE LEAN WAREHOUSING DI PT. SMOE(2024) Nasution, Faisal Amri; Mulyana, Andi ErnaThis research was conducted to identify and analyze time and resource wastage in the pipe transportation process at PT. SMOE using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Fishbone Diagram methods. The primary focus was on improving operational efficiency by understanding the root causes of inefficiencies in transporting pipes from storage areas to construction sites. VSM was employed to map the value stream of this process, while the Fishbone Diagram was used to identify key factors such as inaccurate pipe location recording and inefficient warehouse management. The analysis indicates that the types of waste occurring in pipe handling at PT. SMOE are transportation, waiting, and unnecessary movements. Several contributing factors were analyzed using fishbone diagrams and the 5W 1H method. Repeated confirmations, lack of accurate recording of pipe storage locations, non-implementation of VSM and lead time, as well as lack of motivation and training, are significant causes of waste in the pipe spool handling/transportation process. By identifying these root causes of waste, PT. SMOE is expected to improve their operational efficiency and optimize overall project performance.Item PERBANDINGAN METODE CHEAPEST INSERTION HEURISTICS DAN NEAREST NEIGHBOR DALAM MENENTUKAN RUTE DISTRIBUSI PADA TOTELES BAKE HOUSE(2024) Masnalina, Nyimas; Mulyaningtyas, DianUsaha penyedia makanan merupakan usaha yang berkembang pesat di Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Batam. Laju pertumbuhan pada lapangan usaha penyedia makanan dan minuman serta akomodasi di Kota Batam mencapai 30,95% di tahun 2023 karena munculnya usaha penyedia makanan baru dan bertambahnya cabang dari usaha penyedia makanan yang sudah ada. Toteles Bake House merupakan salah satu usaha penyedia makanan yang menawarkan berbagai produk makanan ringan dan memiliki beberapa cabang di Kota Batam. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan setiap outlet, diperlukan rute distribusi yang efisien dengan jarak terpendek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan dua metode dalam menentukan rute distribusi yang efisien yaitu Cheapest Insertion Heuristics dan Nearest Neighbor untuk Toteles Bake House. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Cheapest Insertion Heuristics memberikan hasil yang lebih efisien dibandingkan Nearest Neighbor dalam menentukan rute distribusi untuk Toteles Bake House. Metode Cheapest Insertion Heuristics memberikan rute dengan total jarak tempuh 44,80 km. Sementara itu, metode Nearest Neighbor memberikan rute dengan total jarak tempuh 48,90 km.
